Hi there! I'm a Maths tutor with over 8 years of experience helping children from Year 1 to Year 9 build confidence and skills in Maths, both here in the UK and in Hong Kong. I've worked as a Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor in UK schools, run small group Maths sessions for Year 4–6, and spent years tutoring one-on-one and in small groups back in Hong Kong. I've also tutored my own child through Year 7 to Year 10, so I really understand what parents are looking for — steady progress, clear explanations, and a child who actually enjoys Maths again! I hold a degree in Statistics and a Master's in E-commerce, plus strong personal results in Maths (including an A in Additional Mathematics). But more than the qualifications, what I care about most is making Maths feel simple and approachable. I never just hand over answers — I like to guide children to understand the "why," so they gain real confidence, not just quick fixes. I also love sparking curiosity along the way, finding ways to make numbers and problems interesting so children actually want to engage rather than just sitting through a lesson.
